It’s a bit odd that Netflix has not provided any kind of plot details about “Kingdom,” but that’s where we are with approximately one month left until the third installment arrives on Netflix.
What we do know is that “Kingdom” will wrap up the story that began in “Siege” and continued in “Earthrise.” What is that story exactly? “Transformers: War for Cybertron” tells the tale of the intense conflict between the Autobots and the Decepticons, serving as a prequel story to many of the other “Transformers” movies and TV shows we’ve seen before.
Per Netflix’s description of the anime series, the war between these two factions “has torn apart their home planet of Cybertron [and] is at a tipping point. Two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. In an attempt to end the conflict, Megatron is forced to consider using the Allspark” which leads the Autobots to “orchestrate a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it.” Hopefully, “Kingdom” will tie up all of the loose threads left open at the end of “Earthrise” and reveals if and how the Autobots manage to defeat the Decepticons.
