Rick does not know exactly what to make of a vintage Ronald McDonald helium dispenser when someone brings it into the store. Some places would use it to fill balloons when the kids had their birthday parties at the company. Rick does not know too much about the item and whether it is worth the money, so he calls Chumlee over, which reveals that he used to work at McDonald’s. He confirms that the item was actually something used in restaurants and that there is a collector’s market out there for McDonald’s memorabilia. After some back and forth, the two make a deal to sell Ronald’s bust for $ 250.
It’s far from the most expensive deal ever made on “Pawn Stars”, but they still managed to have fun with the antique afterwards. Chumlee checks to make sure the dispenser is still working and he fills Rick’s office with balloons in the process. After over a dozen seasons, it never gets old to see Rick get super close to blowing up a pack.
While a giant clown head may seem strange, it is far from the strangest McDonald’s collector’s item to enter the store. Season 18 had an episode where Corey bought a vintage cookie similar to Ronald McDonald for $ 100. Corey thought he could make a good profit on it … but Chumlee ends up eating it first.
