Actor Aparshakti Khurana is ready to star in the upcoming film “Helmet”. He is enthusiastic about the satirical comedy film that is being branded as India’s first film about condoms.
“Helmet” tells the story of people who hesitate or are shy to buy condoms from stores because of what society may perceive about them.
When he talked about his first film in the lead role, Aparshakti shared his excitement. He said: “‘Helmet’ presents a social taboo driven by a subtle social message full of humor. It required me to further explore my creative impulses as an actor. I’m really looking forward to the change in life as this is my first film as lead role. “
Aparshakti, who is the younger brother of actor Ayushmann Khurrana, has been a part of successful films like “Dangal”, “Badrinath Ki Dulhania”, “Stree”, “Luka Chuppi”, “Pati Patni Aur Woh”, among many others.
He said the process of filming was challenging but entertaining for him.
“The fact that this film is made on a taboo subject made it look even more challenging, yet exciting to me.”
The 33-year-old actor plays opposite Pranutan Bahl. The film also features Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma in crucial roles in the film.
“Nothing like being part of a film that has the potential to break a taboo while entertaining people. It’s a genre I personally enjoy, and I hope people do too. Crossing fingers, ”he said.
“Helmet” is produced by Dino Morea and directed by debutant Satram Ramani.
He talked about the process of getting into the character and elaborated: “When screenwriters write a character, they have a certain vision of them-nitty-gritty like body language, general language and more.
“When I make a film, my only goal is to get as close as possible to the screenwriter’s vision of that character, whether (whether) the character is a leader or not.”
“Helmet” will be released on September 3 on ZEE5.
