Mumbai, July 9 (IANS) Veteran actor Anupam Kher took to social media on Friday night to explain why he sometimes shuts the world out.
“Do not try to fix me. Please understand that like everyone else, I get sad sometimes too. So sometimes I shut the world out and when I feel better I will let it come back! Kher posted on Instagram.
The actor’s post about sadness comes a day after he talked about the shocking and alleged suicide of a young line producer of his upcoming film “The Kashmir Files”.
Kher had shared the news of Sarahna’s suicide on Thursday. The actress received the news from her mother, who says Sarahna was struggling with depression.
“This is #Sarahna. She was the line producer for #KashmirFiles when I shot for the film at Dehradun & Mussoorie. The unit celebrated its birthday on December 22 last year at the site. After the shooting, she went to her hometown in Aligarh due to the shutdown. She was bright, brilliant, helpful and excellent for her job. She sent me a message on my mom’s birthday to wish mom on her part. I called her and talked to her and conveyed Mother’s blessings to her. She sounded just fine. And today I got a message (picture 4) from her phone that really shook me and saddened me deeply. Spoke to his broken mother. This depression really affects the younger generation drastically. I pray for her soul and hope her mother and brother #Antriksh can handle this loss. It’s so sad !! #OmShanti @ the_soulflower #MentalHealthMatters, ”Kher wrote late on Thursday.
He also posted a photograph of the deceased, a video of her birthday party on the film set and a screenshot of a text message that reads: “Sarahna died on June 30th. She hung herself. ”
