Have fans blown up a subtly amazing four Easter egg in Loki?

In the beginning of “Loki” episode 6, “For All Time. Always.”, We hear lots of voice-overs from previous MCU movies before we see what appears to be the entire universe. As galaxies unfold, we hear Neil Armstrong’s voice begin his very famous speech “a small step for man” before a spaceship rockets past. Fans on Twitter guess that the ship is the same, whereupon Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm flew through space and were hit by cosmic radiation, thus turning them into the amazing four.

How likely is this? Given the fact that Kang Conqueror’s real name is Nathaniel Richards and that he is allegedly a descendant of Reed Richards, we would say that there is a clear possibility. Adding to this option is one interview, as “Loki” director Kate Herron did with Slash Film where she was asked about the ship in question. “It’s not until later, but I want to tell Marvel fans you recognize it,” she said. “If they look closely … it’s from previous stories about Marvel.”

Disney cleverly announced a Fantastic Four movie at their virtual Investor’s Day event back in December 2020, but we have not really heard anything else about the team or their movie.

Marvel made it seem like we would not see Jonathan Majors as Kang until “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” but he showed up well ahead of schedule on “Loki” – so who’s to say the amazing four don’t just do the same?
