In view of increased demand for its insurance services, Generali Life Assurance Philippines Inc. took advantage of (GLAPI) Clouds force through Globus business to prime its business opportunities for rapid growth amid the growing consumer desire for digital services.
GLAPI engaged Globe Business and Cascadeo, Globe’s delivery arm for Cloud Professional and Managed Services, to help migrate its digital business activities to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and maximize the Cloud architecture that enables the company to increase the services provided are available on its website.
Prior to the transition to AWS, GLAPI drove its IT resources through local data centers. However, the traditional setup could no longer keep up with the growing demand for its digital channels. On-premise data centers are built in predefined data processing capabilities that require time and investment to upgrade.
Globe and Cascadeo assisted GLAPI in building and maximizing its Cloud infrastructure. This allowed GLAPI to easily scale and implement its workloads while saving on IT costs.
“In less than two months, Globe Business paved the way for our infrastructure to be set up on AWS and components to be unloaded from our physical servers to the cloud. This enabled us to implement key projects aimed at improving our operations to provide efficient customer service, ”said Carol Santos, GLAPI Chief Information Technology Officer.
Aside from helping GLAPI with the transition to AWS, Globe Business also provided Globe Home Prepaid WiFi devices to some of its employees to enable the company to set up from home.
