New Delhi, August 19 (IANS) The second stage of IPL 2021 has gained further momentum now as domestic players in Delhi Capitals and support staff leave the UAE on Saturday.
The domestic players and support staff of the Delhi franchise were already gathered in the capital earlier this week. And after they all tested negative for Covid-19, they are ready to leave.
In a speech to IANS, a DC official said, “Delhi Capitals will travel to the UAE on Saturday morning with domestic players and staff. Domestic players are already in quarantine in the national capital, and later they will be quarantined in the UAE for a week.”
Asked about the international players, the official added: “International players come when they have finished their respective international obligations. Shreyas Iyer is already there in the UAE. ”
The two most successful teams in the IPL – Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – had already reached the golf course earlier this week. Mega sports show resumes on September 19 in Dubai.
