Aanchal Goswami’s dream of being a Bengali bride came true for ‘Rishton Ka Manjha’

Mumbai, October 13 (IANS) Actress Aanchal Goswami plays the character of ‘Diya’ in ‘Rishton Ka Manjha’. At a wedding party, Aanchal is seen in an elegant Bengali bridal avatar, which she says was a “dream” for her.

The actress wore a red Banarasi saree adorned with golden details and embroidery that matched the gold jewelry she wore.

In fact, the actor also revealed how Bipasha Basu was one of the biggest inspirations behind the look.

Aanchal reveals: “I love the Bengali culture and I was really excited when I was told that I will have to shoot after a wedding in the sequence‘ Rishton Ka Manjha ’. More than the wedding sequence, I was mostly excited to get ready as a Bengali bride. I always wanted to wear a Banarasi saree with the beautiful, traditional Bengali Alta (red dye applied to hands or feet during weddings and cultural festivals) along with ‘mehendi’ on my hands.

“I must mention that I always had a penchant for the way Bengalis dress during their weddings. In fact, I was so inspired by the wedding look of Bipasha Basu that I always wished I could get that look at my real wedding (laughs). ”

The ongoing sequence is about the wedding between Arjun (Krushal Ahuja) and Diya (Aanchal Goswami).

She adds: “I was amazed at the whole Bengali bridal avatar, from the cool red ‘bindi’ to the beautiful ‘kajal’ eyes, I just loved everything about my look. While recording for this wedding sequence, I felt like it was my real wedding as we did so many different rituals in different get-ups. I had even added my own rings to the jewelry to make the look have a part of Aanchal in Diya’s character. ”

While Aanchal shares his experience of being a Bengali bride, dramatic changes in ‘Arjun’ and ‘Diya’s lives will make them go on guard over the coming episodes of the show.

‘Rishton Ka Manjha’ is broadcast on Zee TV.
